most are pill heads. i know you will say they drug test but a pill will leave your system over a few days or sooner. they are on a constant hunt in our bars for them.

drug offenses rose from 148 to 214 - think this has anything to do with it? So, workers are the cause of DUIs? Does that mean everyone should be on welfare because they are all good, decent, law abiding good parents. GagMe please.

WAAAH! Whgfailing aka daRig aka KICKSTAND aka WVJEEPER aka .....is whining about outsiders again, what a shock.
Hey HAYSEED YOKEL, your corrupt meth making HOME BOYZ are the problem, along with the perpetually SH** economy there.
Selling drugs to the depressed population is one of the most profitable business there.

And anyways a majority of the serious crimes, if not borderline felonious intent, reported to This Newspaper were committed by City-County Cops and Prosecutors. Shall We Review?? LOL….. One Dirty Cop/GloryHound Prosecutor can cause a lot of grief, false reports and bad arrest, convictions every day of their shift.

Almost 27,000 calls for service and only 1,283 arrests. What in the world did the WPD do on the other 25,000 calls? Some domestic situations I am certain...but 25,000 calls for service?? I would be interested in what they were.

It's nice that this statistical table comes out at about the time the Whg Police seek redress in the courts for their overwhelming loss on the two-man rule.

"It was a mobile meth lab in the back of a truck.
Belmont County deputies went to Richard Lollathin's home outside Martins Ferry to arrest him for domestic violence.
He had already left, but a witness had seen him loading his truck with boxes.
Martins Ferry Police and the Ohio State Highway Patrol helped out by blocking the end of the road he was on.
In the end, they got him, but it was an officer named "Echo" who discovered what was in the boxes.
"The Martins Ferry K-9, the drug dog, hit on the cooler in the back of the truck for methamphetamine," said Sheriff Fred Thompson. "It wasn't an active lab. It wasn't cooking. But he had all the components to start a lab. And he's got a prior record in 1999 of manufacturing meth."

10/24/2012 Jefferson County, OH -- Multiple departments and counties worked together to bust a meth lab in Amsterdam, Ohio, officials said.
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A major spike in meth busts is causing law enforcement to pour more time and resources into tracking them down and making arrests. Brandon Lewis stays busy dealing with properties busted for meth. He’s the program coordinator for the Clandestine Drug Lab Remediation Program. Tuesday, he had to check out several properties just from this week.
“ According to Lewis, 50 meth labs were reported in West Virginia in 2008. That number has gone up dramatically each year since, as the following show:
? 2009: 109 ? 2010: 140
? 2011: 171 ? 2012: 271
Just 22 days into 2013 and the number is already at 40. That means law enforcement officers are now averaging two meth busts a day.

The increase in crime is related to the decline of the City in general folks. It is a borderline ghost town now @ 25,000 in 2015.Even the once nice areas are becomming run down looking. The City looks like a bomb was dropped on it.

as long as it's not the judge getting victimized they'll continue to roam.the legal system here stinks and all of the working group knows it.more of them meth labs in ohio than wv.most criminals in wv. end up migrating across the river where they can get away with more criminal activity.the legal system is worse over there as all of us that have lived here know.
