Who asked him and who cares what David McKinley thinks?

He is a puppet propped up by coal money that flows from St. Clairsville.

I care what the people think who are our representatives. You should care too. We are all welcomed to disagree, but to say you don't care is not accurate,...if you didn't care, you would not have read the article, let alone taken time to comment. ;o)What particularly about him upsets you? If he is backed by coal,....um,....doesn't that mean that he is supportive of them, and they supportive of him,....Coal,....employs West Virginians and their families,...and ultimately the businesses around here, where coal miner wives spend their family's coal minor dollars. You may want to start caring what he thinks and says,..even if you disagree. Just a thought. lo)

He has a lot of respect for Arch the Felon? You Repubs voted for him. Not me.

boxer;yes he announced his intention;was not "asked." Capito has the name recognition to win unless the dems come up with something better. But who has the resume? McKinley needs to focus on a signature job creating project in the NP.He is 65/66.He can make it another two terms. He does have some clout now among the right repubs in the House.I know very well he would love to have his name on a high profile-- meaningful job creating project in the OV, if he could do it.He may have that opportunity.Coal and steel are not the future;rather the past.
