I've been saying this for years, but as the lack of post suggests, nobody is listening nor do they seem to care. They are good at making babies, but don't want to take the time to raise them.

Yes we are; SCHOOL MATH 101: we only have 180 school days to teach. Year round school is STILL 180 just different day. NO HOMEWORK policies, mainly for lower level students [ well, they fail because they dont do the homework! actual school policy] wont work. 45 mins/day is not enough in our society where knowledge doubles three times in a lifetime. So since I was in elementary school in the 1950s, knowledge has doubled. Class time has shrunk, homework/study hall/etc. have vanished. No wonder scores drop.

schools worked better when parents did actual parenting and paddles were part of the curriculum.the lawyers ruined the schools.we've been sliding downhill ever since.
