Baxter would bring two things to the table that would make him formidable; money and organization.

Question: Will you support the President's gun legislation proposals? If so, as a life long Democrat and a West Virginian and as a Wheeling resident I will support you. Also will you support the present health care legislation?

Baxter has proven that he knows how to create jobs, promote a company and grow it. I think he could do the same for West Virginia. Others may be capable, but Baxter is the type of person who can make it happen.

If family histories are being used against politicians in here, please recall the storied history of the John D. Carpetbagger IV empire. Being that no Rockefeller was ever unethical, so Jayhole must be one too.

Any candidate is better than Shelly Moore(-Capito). Apples rarely fall far from the tree and let's never forget that her father ended his career in disgrace, convicted and disbarred. She is also a panderer to the extractive industries that have cost this state so much in terms of cost to infrastructure, foregone economic opportunities and cost in lives.

Mr. Baxter has been responsible for job growth in Wheeling and is the head of one of the 25 largest law firms in the US. As such, I'd say he has far more legal and business acumen than almost any other conceivable candidate of either party. Orrick certainly promotes values of fairness and equality. If those are considered radical values by anyone, then that person needs to reconsider his or her ethical standards.
