Baby Mama
Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Greg Kinnear, and Maura Tierney star in this entertaining new comedy written and directed by Michael McCullers, who has done a lot of writing for “Saturday Night Live.” Fey portrays Kate Holbrook, a 37-year-old workaholic who has finally decided that she wants to have a baby, but, much to her disappointment, she finds out that she’s infertile. Kate doesn’t give up easily, however, and she enlists the aid of Angie Ostrowiski (Poehler), a working girl from South Philadelphia, to serve as a surrogate mother for her. When she finds out that Angie is pregnant, the meticulously organized Kate begins to get her immaculate apartment ready for the baby. But her ordered world is destroyed when Angie shows up and says she has no place to live. Now the two of them end us sharing an apartment, and something has to give.
