It's never easy to see someone who is admired and respected get arrested. Somehow we put some people in higher regard because of their positions in the community, i.e., bankers, teachers, doctors, etc. That's why when someone like that finds themselves on the police blotter, we all feel a little cheated. Last week's arrest of a local wrestling coach on charges of soliciting a prostitute is one of those occasions. It's terribly sad for him, his family and friends and those students who looked up to him. A lot of jokes have been overheard on this subject. One of the best comments was that the undercover female cop should have been a dead giveaway that she wasn't a real hooker because she was too good looking. Despite this attempt on Saturday, one woman of questionable character was on Main Street this morning before 7 a.m. I don't know what's sadder, the women who resort to this trade or the men who pick them up.
