It's nice to know that DiCarlo's Pizza is moving into the Crone's Building. DiCarlo's should do excellent at that location -- near the civic center and in the heart of downtown Wheeling. Employees here at the newspaper are thrilled to have the pizza place so close and open in the mornings. We have longed for a restaurant or lunch counter on this end of downtown for quite some time. Years ago when the intermodal center was in the planning stages, there was talk of a lunch counter being on the first floor. That never happened. It would have been a real plus for the area. There was a time, I know I am telling my age, when every big building in Wheeling had a snack counter in its lobby. You could buy coffee, pop, crackers, candy, cigarettes, newspapers and sandwiches.
