Jerry Moore Trial

October 19, 2009 - Heather Ziegler
No one was more relieved and happy about an innocent verdict in Jerry Moore's robbery trial than Jerry Moore and his family. The whole ordeal of trying the same man three times for an alleged crime still has a lot of us shaking our heads. Prosecutor Berhalter said it was his office's duty to try the case as the grand jury handed up an indictment on the matter. The only reason that was so is because the prosecutor presented it three times. If they couldn't make their case after the second attempt, it should have been enough. I don't know Jerry Moore but I surely would have had doubt after him being guilty after hearing the testimony and so did this last jury. I'm pleased Jerry got his job back, too, at the Dept. of Job and Family Services in Belmont County. I hope Jerry Moore can go about his life without anymore issues. Today is his first day back to work.
