My take on today's news:
Lock up ATF Agent James E. Sirbaugh and keep the key in a safe place until his guilt or innocence is decided. Should the St. C schools have been locked down? Yes. Should the parents have been notified before they heard about it through the media? Probably. But I'm thinking school officials might have been too busy keeping the campus safe and reassuring the students to hit the phones.
Glad the Wheeling police are staying in Wheeling and not assisting Pittsburgh with the G20 next week. There's plenty here to keep them busy.
I have no problem with schools being sites for mass H1N1 vaccinations, as long as children are not forced to receive them.
Bravo to the Capitol Theatre for arranging to bring Broadway's "Stomp," "The Drowsy Chaperone," "Cats" and "Jesus Christ Superstar" to Wheeling. Great shows for a great venue!
Ate lunch at the Sternwheel Festival today at Heritage Port. Going back for more tomorrow. A co-worker recommends the $3 brats from Johnsonville, cooked to perfection on the largest grill anywhere ... period. Don't forget to patronize the local food and craft vendors!
