It's What's Inside That Counts

April 15, 2009 - Joselyn King
In case anyone doubted there are many good people in the Ohio Valley . . . let me offer this personal testament.

I just want to thank the person who found the teal green Kathy Van Zeeland purse left in a cart at The Highlands Walmart last week, and turned it in to the office there.

As many people have pointed out, I was very lucky to get it back -- especially given the current financial state of our world.

"It wouldn't have happened here," said my high school friend who lives in the Green Tree area of Pittsburgh.

The purse was only out of my possession for about 15 minutes -- but it was long enough to cause great alarm.

There wasn't much inside. . .but the cell phone (with many important numbers) and glasses would be very much needed.

Cards could be replaced -- but not easily.

It seems purses are like people. It's not the money but what's important inside that we need.
