Either the economy or drug addiction or both are getting worse by the moment. I received a report from the W.Va. State Police about a home invasion on Little Harts Creek Road in Harts, W.Va. It doesn't matter where it is, it's what happened there. A man invaded the home where 84-year-old James Toppings lived. The masked invader attacked Toppings, putting him in the hospital. The intruder took some money and prescription bottle of pills. A few days later, Mr. Toppings died. Now the burglar is a murderer, too, all for a bottle of pills and an undisclosed amount of money. Have you ever heard of Harts, W.Va.? I haven't but it sounds like so many of West Virginia's other small towns where everyone knows everyone. But this still happened. I'm so afraid more seniors will be targeted as these kinds of monsters make their way in the world. Please watch out for your neighbors, especially those who live alone or are senior citizens.
