(Warning: Potty talk follows)
Emma went pee pee in the potty last night! Woo hoo! She's had a potty for six months, but it mainly serves as a stool to wash her "hands and elbows." We've been reading potty books here and there, but not pushing the issue (Honestly, I am dreading potty training!)
Anyway, last night, we were in her room and she looked at me and said: "I want to poop in the potty." So I said OK. We went in to the bathroom and, unfortunately, she already had pooped in her diaper, but she insisted on sitting on the potty anyway. Fine.
As she sat, I took her dirty diaper into her bedroom to put it in a plastic bag. When I came back 10 seconds later, she was standing up looking into the potty. There was pee in it! I did a double take!
"Look Mommy I pooped in the potty!" she said. (She's bound to learn the difference one of these days.) I said, "You peed in the potty! Yea, Emma! I'm so proud of you!" I asked her to give me five, then she gave me a big hug.
This happened on Thursday, May 29, her third Thursday at day care. You gotta love peer pressure when it works in your favor!
