Act Positive. Vote Anyway.
November 1, 2010 - Joselyn King
Over the weekend, TV personality Jon Stewart succinctly summed up the antagonism exemplified by those of all political extremes this election year. ""If we amplify everything, we hear nothing," he told a crowd in Washington Saturday.
Unfortunately, all that noise of negativity this political season may just have nauseated voters to the point they won't go to the polls on Tuesday.
Simply put, many might let the noise of extremism steal their voice, and their right to vote for someone to represent them.
The problem is they likely don't find any of the candidates representative OF them. These candidates -- if we believe what we hear . . .vote themselves raise, make themselves rich with government contracts and would blindly follow the lead of "evil" people from California.
We need silence -- NOW.
The world has serious problems, and the need for rational people to work together to find rational, workable solutions.
It's time to move forward.
On Tuesday, do go out and vote -- even if your are disgusted by the behavior this year of our potential leaders. Think about who has the most potential to be rational.
