Broadway on Main Street
July 6, 2010 - Phyllis Sigal
I was quite excited to get in the mail at the end of last month a letter addressed to "founding subscriber" — as in founding subscriber of the Broadway at the Capitol first season — informing us that the 2010-11 season is set and ready to go!
Five shows are offered this year, one more than the initial season.
So just in case you haven't heard yet, this is what's coming to the Capitol:
• "Legally Blonde The Musical," on Nov. 13
• "Grease," Dec. 15
• "Fiddler on the Roof," Feb. 10
• "The Wizard of Oz," March 8
• "The Music Man," April 23
Subscribers can order the five-show package, or they can get four shows — all but "Grease." Prices range from $139 (for four shows) up to $248 (for five shows), with three seating levels.
It was quite a popular event last season, with lines forming early and practically sell-outs for every shows ... proof that Wheeling loves musicals!
