Mother's day wishes
May 7, 2010 - Betsy Bethel
If I had my 'druthers, here's what I'd wish for Mother's Day:
The ability to love my daughter absolutely-positively unconditionally (even after she has spilled her milk for the bazillionth time that day).
A higher tolerance for whine.
A guilt eraser.
A self-cleaning carpet (and kitchen floor and windows and bathtub ...).
A crystal ball to see, before I act or react, how my daughter's personality is going to be affected 10, 20 and 30 years from now.
A 100 percent potty-trained household (including the dog and the cat).
The ability to capture and keep every one of my daughter's kisses in a jar so I could dip into it when I'm at work or out of town.
That my mother lived closer.
And last but not least,
That no parent would ever have to bury a child ever again.

Thanks, Mom, for always doing your best to make life as bright and sunny as possible despite the storms, and for living and savoring one day at a time. Anything good that comes from me, came from you.
Happy Mother's Day to all!
