You never know who is packing heat

 There appear to be an upswing in the number of citizens applying for gun carry permits for concealed weapons. The economy and terrorism and increased violence in our cities and countrysides have promped such actions. Now I will not debate the wisdoms or dangers of this topic but I will tell you that the petty criminals out there may soon find themselves staring down the barrel of a gun. Recently a number of cars and trucks in Edgington Lane-Lynwood Street areas have been entered by thieves stealing car phones, accessories and loose change. These thieves are getting bolder as they have hit some places more than once. I would hate to think what would happen if these jerks decide to climb in someone's kitchen window with so many guns out there. Of course these jerks don't read blogs or read at all so it's not likely they will get this message. I guess it's up to all of us to be good neighbors and call the police when we see suspicious activiity in our neighborhoods. As Deputy Barney Fife would say, let's nip it in the bud. Nip it!
