A matter of timing

 It was funny  perculiar, not funny haha, last night on Holy Thursday to find a DUI checkpoint smack dab in front of St. Michael's Church in Wheeling. Right in the middle of this solemn night of prayer, candlelight procession and quiet singing was our local police department with flashing lights and an occasional radio message heard. Granted, DUI checkpoints serve a purpose in our community but I doubt that any of the parishioners were over the wine limit from Communion. Perhaps some more thought should go into the timing of these checkpoints. especially when  held in front of a church during Holy Week.
